My first 2xipa from Bolero. A bit alcohol forward but a nice understated bitter hop finish. I think their regular ipa (rotate bull?) is a better brew but I've only had it once.

Enjoyed this- Rock Art limited Access DIPA

Their Ridge Runner unfiltered ale, which I figured would be a take on Switchback, was undrinkable, I couldn’t finish it.

ID:	220983 I've had several beers from these guys but by far this is the best. Major Tom from Lamplighter Brewing - huge tropical fruit nose and crushed pineapple and mango flavors are bonkers.

That hasn't made its way up here yet, looking forward to trying it.

Not in the same class as Dinner or Another One but a good crisp ipa at 6.2%.

    A couple from last night.

Way too dark and strong in the malt for me for ipa. I’m always a sucker for juniper or spruce tips so it was worth a try. Meh...

Has anyone else tried Sierra Nevada's Hop Bullet DIPA? I bought a sixer last weekend and have to say I'm underwhelmed. OTOH, one I had recently I was quite impressed with is Descender by Good Life.

I got to try this one the other day - To the Yard by Narrow Gauge from just outside St. Louis. It’s an IPA with lactose and vanilla, ends up tasting a bit sweet and rich. My first time having a so-called milkshake IPA. I’d recommend it, pretty tasty.

I found this in the general store today. Brewed 3weeks ago at Goodwater for Red Barn, which I hadn’t heard of before. It has a green onion/grassy bitterness that I don’t usually associate with magnum or citra. I think it’s the water profile.

I bought some 2wks ago blind also. I was definitely was not impressed either and wondered if I got a bad 4pk, thanks for confirming it wasn't just me. Can't believe a commercial brewer would can that.

Agreed and just poured one, less than 2wks old but the mosaic is even better imo.

I have started dating those that don't stamp cans, foley, alchemist, foam and bissell come to mind immediately. Seems like such an easy thing to do but I'm sure there's a simple answer as to why they don't.

I get the snark, but craft beer is too goddamn expensive any more to roll the dice on purchasing anything that isn't dated. Some of these more obscure beers have a tendency to languish on shelves for a long, long time, and there's no way in hell I'm paying $4 or more/beer for a 14 month old IPA. You may have a more valid point over in the stout thread, but these NE IPA's, in my experience, start to taste off after as few as 30 days in the can.

I don't patronize breweries that don't date their products. Life is too fucking short to spend good money on old beer. Next time you're in a liquor store, look closely at the dates on some of the higher priced beers, I would be willing to bet you can find plenty of 8+ month old bottles kicking around.

    Let's guess.

They'd forget to change the date.

    Ink is evil.

The great ones sell out that day so why bother

Yes, had this dreck a couple weeks back, still have one, and was shocked how bad it was. Less surprised once I saw Goldwater brewed it. I have tried to like GW but can't get past the thin flavor and off taste. What surprises me most is that they are only 1000' from BBC and on the same municipal water supply, perhaps they need to call Clearwater.

The Peril was worth the extra wait and not being a Christmas week release I was able to score a # of these.
Clean and fresh and not really boozy although 11%. Blackback had it last night.
