That is skewed by our state run liquor stores right on the highways. Low cost and no sales tax = selling a shit load of alcohol to out of staters. The best is our 16 miles of rt95 between MA and ME...northbound and southbound have their own stores and transporting liquor over state lines is strictly verboten! So fucking classic.

PSA: 21st Amendment released a blood orange IPA which looks deceptively like "Brew Free or Die". Not the same.

    How was it?

Was just at the Fremont Brewery last week and they had a really nice unfiltered IPA on tap called "Headfull Of Dynamite."

I made it to Melvin's new Bellingham location about a week ago after hiking Oyster Dome. Pretty cool spot! I don't think they are actually brewing on site yet, though. Bellingham certainly has some great beer options.

some damn good IPA's out there

@AD after a second tasting tonight, i really like it. hits you like a glass of OJ but has a really unique finish that keeps things interesting. they did a special edition run a few months back for a spot in portland (belmont station maybe?) that i liked a lot as well, but this is in my top 2 from fremont.

others tested this evening (all solid, ranked by preference):

    epic blizzard conditions NE IPA

    block 15 fluffhead IPA

three magnets little juice IPA (smoothie edition)

    standard brewing west coast IPA

    melvin hubert pale is TBD

Tried to get one at Slackwater last night but ended up with the Asterisk IIPA. Really good.

Chuckanut has some of the best traditional lagers in the US. Funny name, but one of my favorite Vienna Lagers.

I've never been. Just tried them at GABF. They weren't around back when I lived in B-ham. Definitely a good contrast to Melvin. Both great breweries.

I love most Southern Tier. Had two of these this evening:

    Enjoyed. Recommend.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Rocking some Melvin Drunken Master tonight. Canned on 7.6 so you know that stuff is extra fresh!

I'm a big fan of southern tier as well. Don't think I've had that one, will put it on the list.

Surprisingly solid. First experience with 32 Oz cans, filled and capped from the tap at the brewery.

It took me a minute to realize this beer probably isn't named for the city in Morocco.
