    Pricing???

First off I want to say sorry if this does not belong here.

I want to start a small office cleaning business (just my brother and I for now) and I am having a difficult time pricing my services.

What is an acceptable place to just get started? We can adjust later, but I don't want to start out drastically under- or over-charging.

If any of you have your offices cleaned, I would appreciate it if you could give me a ballpark figure and a rough guess at the size of the job?????

Thank You for any help you may provide!!!

Sorry if I affended you, but I was just hoping maybe someone here has their own office and maybe they have it cleaned and maybe they would be willing to share how much it costs in their area.

I come here all the time because i love to ski, (I just don't post very often) and I have seen that a lot of you are profesionals and possibly work in offices. Who better to ask my question? I am in the process now of getting starting prices through other means, but I thought hey, these guys might be able to help.
Sorry if I over steped my bounds

you have to push back to get what you want.

there are few boundries here, and your thread doesn't really cross any of them.

make jokes long enough, keep the thread on top, and someone who knows will share soon enough.

i'm leaving to have my taint cleaned now. have a nice weekend everyone.

pricing is a function of the quality of work you are planning to provide. IMO...

If you quote potential clients 75/hr versus quoting 15/ hr, you most certiantly will have two very different groups of customers scheduling appointments.

Implied value of service provided can be one of your best marketing features.

always remember: start high, becuase when you come in with a low quote, that can lead a customer to believe you will do a sub-par job.

    Offiice cleaning?

    i dunnow shite about that...

I pay $65/week to have 11 offices and a kitchen/lunch area dusted, vacuumed and trash removed; 7000 sqft of manufacturing space mopped and trash removed; and five bathrooms cleaned. Two guys usually do all of that in two hours. They are very organized and work as a team will few overlapping tasks.

    Hope that helps...
