Rather than everyone bitching once a month about the fact that they haven't gotten their Powder Magazine on the Teton Gravity Research Forum, how about we all follow the advice that KD has posted about 800 fucking times and call the distribution house.

Dear Meghan,

Thank you for ruining my October issue. I have been a Powder subscriber for roughly fifteen years so I can understand why you would glue a cardboard solicitation to my magazing. Needless to say I carefully tried to remove said packaging. A librarian, I am not. However, what is the point of the spine on the October issue if I cannot read it?

Now, once again the contents of said issue are exceptional. The new format has changed the Powder experience in a good way. This new format should be protected, I agree. A concept Powder should reacquaint itself with is a plastic wrapper. It is like Christmas or a birthday once a month.

you can't get that shit off either. not a good way to advertise IMO. also, what's up with the "get a FREE gift subscription for the price of 1 year" when that price is about 5 bucks higher than all the other subscription cards in the mag?

I haven't even gotten my Sept issue yet . Thankful a friend loaned me his.(He's recently married and can no longer keep his POWDER in the house. )

I called the 1800# that KD provided. Spoke to a woman who obviously originated from the deep, deep, south. In the process of checking my records she saw the "Rebel Yell" on the October cover. She felt comfortable enough to ask, "Now what does Rebel Yell have to do with POWDER? I understand Rebel Yell, but not with skiing". I was left speechless.

After much consideration, I renewed my subscription in the begining of August. Still no September or October....
However, they did promptly get me the bill, which is kinda nice.

i renewed mine about a month ago, but haven't received my october yet. it's nothing new though. last year i only got 4 issues and two of them were late. in the winter it's not a problem for me because i am skiing too much to spend more than 10 min looking at mags. powder's subscription service sucks. i think next year i'll just borrow from friends or buy one or two at the stand.
