looking for info on multiligment reconstruction

I am 4 weeks post-surgery after tearing my ACL, PCL and MCL. The ACL and MCL were reconstructed with cadaver grafts and the MCL was torn cleanly, so they tacked it up and screwed it to the bone - it may or may not require a second surgery depending on how it heals. I am on crutches ( toe-touch weight bearing only) for 6 weeks and also a brace locked at 0 at all times. My PT isn't very encouraging about my long-term chances to return to high-impact sports ( running and Tae Kwon Do). Is there anyone who has had this type of injury and surgery and then did return to hig-impact sports? Please write to me and let me know what your experience has been - I am getting pretty bummed about being unable to walk for so long ( 2 months now and possibly another three months to go ) and then the possibility that I will always have to baby the knee and not do the sports I enjoy, so I am looking for hope - if I can't have hope, at least I will know what to lookk forward to.
    Thanks!

Beth, you may have figured this out by now but there is another forum on this site called "Gimp Central" which is dedicated to injuries and rehab, post your question there and you'll get more response. Good luck.

Yes, I did that and got no responses - yours is the only so far. Is it because I'm not a skier?? Ha ha

More than likely it's because it's summer.

Try doing a search in gimp central. I know this topic has been discussed before.
it's all young and fun and skiing and then one day you login and it's relationship advice, gomer glacier tours and geezers.

Ive had more than one firefighter tell me that they would either smash the car out of the way depending on if the truck was new or not or put the hose through the windows.
