This morning when I got to the Ferndale Transit Station (driving the bus) there was a guy with a big ski bag and another good size bag. I asked him what he had, 2 pr Atomics, race slalom and gs skis. Then I asked him where he was going although I thought I already knew the answer, sure enough, South America, Vallee Nevado to start. We had a long conversation about skis and skiing. He was really stoked to be going and to run into someone equally into skiing to talk about it with. He was looking to trying some Atomic Metrons this year. Wide, lots of sidecut for high speed carving off piste was what he was thinking. Anyway, I wish I was going with him, told him to check the boards for condition reports and pics and splats article. So if anyone in SA runs into someone from Birch Bay or Blaine? thats probably him.

By the way, snow level down to 5500 this week sometime? Anyone else hear that?
