    Marijuana withdrawals?

I decided to quit that stuff, due to ongoing phlegmal difficulties that really hamper my musical ambitions. A week later (today), I break out into a nasty case of hives!!!! I've never had hives before, but they attacked my whole body like flies on shit!

    Hmmmm, maybe that's a bad analogy . . .

Having my wife rub Cortizone Cream all over my "secret no-no places" was really a test of our new marriage.

Anyway, I'm sure quitting the herbal jazz cigarettes had nothing to with it, but it's a funny coincedence. Maybe it has something to do with my seafood indulgence in Mexico. Something my body is not used to.

Anyone have some uplifting stories of their battle with reefer addiction? It's not too bad now, but I know I'm really going to struggle with it 1.) when I'm driving to the ski hill 2.) when someone offers it to me on the ski lift.
    More gauze pads, please hurry!

I would not be an expert on the subject of marijuana withdrawal symptoms, but somehow I doubt it's related to your hives.

edit: And is this "secret no-no place" you speak of the middle of your back? 'Cause that's the only place I can think of that I couldn't rub lotion on myself.

    nothing to be sorry about.

The only withdrawal I experience is sometimes I'm irritable for the first day or two after chronic use of the chronic.

The thought of a cheeb-free ski season terrifies me, frankly. Good luck with that.

    Red face

Get used to the word "relapse".

I quit 12'ish years ago, but still wind up smokin' a few times a year, especially when ski season rolls around. I don't think the craving really ever leaves you, still it's better than smoking 5-6 times every day.

I've had the worst hankerin' for a big bong hit the last few days too.

Even with a vaporizer, aren't you still essentially smoking it, therefore doing lung damage?

I like the butter idea, though. Although my experience with baked goods is it makes you even more braindead than the other method.

I tried to quit earlier this summer for an ex-girlfriend but that didn't work. I actually did stop smoking for about a week, but I was right back to it. If you are having some medical issues then I am sure you will have more will power. I agree with Iceman, I don't think reefer withdrawl spawned the hives!

I did a cursory literature search and found just one article describing an allergy to cannabis that resulted in "eruptions", but there was nothing on Mary Jane withdrawl associated with skin disorders.

    Hives

    Mexico seafood fo show.

My liver is toxic, and I get hives when I'm stressed or after a clam bake. Do a kidney and liver de-tox. Sauna's are good for that too.

Give Mary a bone for me...Bro, I miss that vixen

You may never know what caused the hives. Just hope they don't come back. My wife kept getting them a couple years ago and never found out the cause. They just sort of disappeared one day.

The WEED talk is kinda pathetic dudes....
I mean, is it really that important in your lives???

I used to smoke and smoke every once in awhile, but come on! Don't let it get in the way of anything sacred.

It is a good thing to do in moderation and a good thing to do at times, but ALL the time makes you look like a fucking loser.

I'm pretty sure vaporizers don't produce smoke, they just vaporize the thc, which is then inhaled.

During an interview 10 years ago or so, Keith Richards was asked about his drug use. He said that he had quit taking drugs for good, but the day he quit he got a bad case of the flu or something. Even stranger, it had been the first time he'd gotten sick in decades.

"Fuckface"....what am I from Summit COunty now?

Sorry for the harsh reality of it all, but being a little older now you come to realize that the stoner chic is not chic at all. Infact, it is quite opposite.

I am pro marijuana for sure. It is fun and nice on occasion. BUT, when people get too involved in the ganja it makes them look pathetic.

Marijuana/ stoner talk is cliche if nothing else.

first of all from all the smokers on the board I would like to say "bite me" preacher man, but i think phunk beat me to it in a different manner.

No one is being cliche here or being a stoner to be "cool", pops.

As for being older, it obviously doesn't make you wiser, some of us are "older" as well. No one here is "too involved", but I haven't seen DIMNS in a while. We all seem to be doing quite well with our unemployment and bong rips, without your insightful views.

In conclusion: don't take such a strong view point against people on the board without knowing the facts and don't read into these messages so much.

Now i am off to take a bong rip and some geritol.

APOLOGY to all the stoners on the board. I didn't mean any harm or mean to give any lectures.

I just wanted to state an opinion that I knew no one else would post.
