Mud: need a 6" lift with long arm kit and axle relocated rearward.

Pirate4x4: clears 37s with minor trimming, no lift. When are you swapping in a v8 and putting dana 60s under it?

Expo: go 33s and have your custom $35,000 off-road trailer run matching tires for maximal redundancy.

That is actually what I'd expect from the three forums.

    Yup, pretty accurate.

Overall, mud is awesome with very helpful people and a decent search function. There are threads on everything from customizing your frame to installing new wipers.

I just installed some Cree lights on my 100 and navigating the firewall on those is no joke... Wires everywhere with no clear path through that I could see. I probably saved two hours using that forum as opposed to routing the wires the way I had originally intended.

You can also got info on how to properly drive off-road given the ATRAC, lockers and full-time 4wheel drive. Seems basic but those guys have some pretty good insight on maximizing the different configurations through different terrain and conditions.

I never asked the question, just used Google and came up with 3 very different answers. Pretty entertaining actually. The picture threads on each forums were entertaining too, most of the 80s on pirate have wrinkled sheet metal and many are missing their tops. Mud is clean, well put together rigs. And most of the rigs on expo look like someone called arb and asked for 1 of everything, put it on my MasterCard black.

I personally fall somewhere closer to the pirate camp, (especially since the rig I'm is a total rust bucket) so some trimming will be the course of action if needed.

I pulled into the lot today in my 96 cruiser, and saw a beautiful woman getting into a pristine looking fzj80, so I walked up to her and asked her if she'd thought about selling it. She said no way. Most pristine one I have seen in years. Girl was good looking too.
