    Is this a scam?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true

What throws me (aside from the fact that this is a $6000 bike listed with a "buy me now" price of $900) is that the seller will only accept a money order.

Sounds WAY too good to be true. Scam?

The buyer feedback looks pretty good and it is not all in the last few weeks either.

Nonetheless, I would e-mail and get them to state whether there were ANY blems, scratches, dings, dents, liens, large pipe-wielding corsicans coming with the bike.

    Let's see. Seller notes say
PAYMENT WILL BE MAKE VIA MONEY ORDER FROM PERSONAL REASONS
All caps - one strike against.

Item is located out of the country (United Kingdom). Two Strikes

Payment is in foreign currency, not of the country item is located in (Aussie $, not Pound). Three Strikes.

Yeah, I guess I'm not going to gamble on the free lunch. Too bad, that bike has been calling to me for quite some time now. At retail, I just don't have the kind of bling to afford it.

Oarhead - the thing that worries me is that these scammers are able to grab other people's user accounts. So, it looks like the item was posted by an ebay trader in good standing, but in actuality it's a scammer.

And this is a good example of why I should not be buying things on E-bay, nevermind advising people about buying on e-bay.
