music maggots techical JONG type ?

what are the most idiot proof computer music editing programs? My wife is sick and tired of paying professionals to get her students figure skating music cut. Ideally the program would be pretty simple and allow her to do the following things

Cut from place to place on the track
fade different tracks together
change the tempo and volume of the music
be able to burn to cd
thanks guys

Sound Forge is the best I've found. Was developed by Sonic Foundry and then bought by Sony. I believe it's still exactly the same. VERY easy to use and you can save it out in nearly any audio format. Then, just drag it over to your CD drive.

    Very reasonably priced too.

Yeah, I use Sound Forge as well. Pretty simple layout, its a little expensive...but maybe you could expense it

I use it to edit volumes, bass, treble, cut beginnings and endings of vinyl dnb mixes....you could add effects as well.

oh yeah definately is a legit deduction for her because its vital to her job, just like jackets and gloves

to those who have used soundforge can she upload an mp3 of a song and cut that or does it have to be recorded in from an outside source?

Yes... you can edit any .mp3.
Use the link in my first post. Download the trial version and check it out. Highlight a patch of audio and apply whatever effect or process you need, or delete it. It's pretty damn simple.
