Congrats and have fun - by the way, what does a place like that cost to rent for a month?

No worries Spew. It might be a sofa though as it's going to be fairly full with mates & family stopping over.

I'm paying £2k for it. I spent a month living in a ford transit van last season so I thought I'd lord it this year.

Sorry you gonna loose your job, anything new to come after January?
But props for the Cham decision. Have a blast there, the whole community will chime in now for lodging with you.

I'd like to reserve some couch/floor space as well - damn that looks awesome! May be just the motivation I need to "jump the pond" . . .

I'm not sorry at all. I'm bored senseless & it's high time I had a total career change. When we come back from the U.S in March we're leaving London to follow some dreams we've had for a long time.

I'm in Cologne now Hicks, are we having a pint on Wednesday? PM me your phone no if you're up for it.

Seriously, if any mags do need some floor/sofa space for a night or 2 or 7, pm me & I'll clear it with the ministeress of war.

    Bring on the snow......

I am in Geneve. I would be happy to come up for some turns with you. Not sure I need the floor space as G-town is but 1.5 hours away.

    Way to go!

It's funny how at one stage we think are dreams are in London then so many of us hit the point when we are clammering to get out. I'm stuck here for the time being.

The place in Cham looks cool. It looks too good for you to possibly drag yourself away to La Grave for a day or two late January, non?

There are bits I like and more bits I don't. Having a 2yr old son and no garden is a big no no as well. I want better for him.

I'll miss friends, concerts at Kenwood house, eating out and stuff like that, I won't miss the 8.30 am flights, tube or the little middle class white kids hanging around the local offy talking like they're yardies. Or the real gangsters a bit further down the road for that matter.

We've got the van, we're coming.

Edit: 200 posts since May 02! And the crowd goes wild............not
