What are the points I have and what can I do with them?

right now points do not really do a ton. You accumulate them by uploading media and commenting. They basically tell you who is active in the media space. When we did the site enhancements this was an available feature. It is kind of like post count.

Join the community:
Log in:
Update profile:
Add another member as a friend:
Accept another member’s friend request:
Invite friends to join the community:
Join a group:
Add a video:
Add a photo:
Add a profile photo:
Add a blog post:
Comment on a media item:
Comment on another member's profile:
Comment on a group:
Rate a media item:
Favorite a media item:

Photos, videos and blogs get the most points. We may be able to do discounts with them. We are still getting this new stuff ironed out and tuned in. I like your idea though.
