I have more opinions about careers than I do about skiing so here's another one (no charge): The dream of many engineers is to develop a specialty and then do contract work. You pick the hours and charge $50-$100 for each of those hours. As long as you do good work and meet your deadlines you are free and have lots of money to pursue your dream.
(Note: I'm a big financial chicken and won't live hand to mouth.)If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.
