Hahahahhaaaa! I'd recognize those feet anywhere!
I haven't seen that photo for a long time. I remember the full pic was on powmag for not even one day before maxing-out the bandwidth where it was hosted. Then it disappeared and I haven't seen it again until now.

    Powho-
How about a really vague hint? Nothing that will give it away immediately, but something like "same vert as Nashoba Valley", or rhymes with "burnt rice" or something.
    Color me curious. http://www.endlessseason.com/smilies/huhh.gif

Well it's obviously in MI. Watch out for the "Expert Area", now that's scary!

Endless, about the vertical thing, I've always thought a better measurement would be "maximum continuously skiable" (for lack of a better term) vertical. Ski areas would hate it, but it would give you a much better idea of what a mountain is like.

All the Park City resorts, for example, claim 3000 or so vertical, but I don't think there is a run at any of them with as much as 1500 skiable vertical feet, and mostly they're quite a bit less. If you could figure out how to add this stat to your site it would be cool.

I know! I know! Mt. Brighton, Michigan. I've skied there several times.

Also featured in the beginning of Aspen Extreme.

Hey, that expert area is really steep--for like 40 vertical feet

techically you can get a bit more vert by taking the cat and not hiking, but you get considerably more if you hike all the way to the top.

Like Pipzalot said, include a few euro resorts...I Think Les Houches is a small one here at 870m and Cham is still largest at 2820m continuous vertical.....not the VB route but Cosmiques or Rond to Cham ...

Nothing like skiing on the prarie though. Any guesses, lol, you'll never get it. Here's a couple hints 1 quad chair lift in the middle of the prarie.
