I've been out for the last month+ due to moving and then mostly laid up due to an ARI involving my back and ribs. I've been playing disc golf and my mobility had gotten to the point that i could hobble down the hills more swiftly. unable to stand it any more, i plotted to hit blue lakes today folowed by disc at the wood if the snow got bad quick. turning onto blue lakes road we decided that due to time constraints we would ski and throw at the wood. plus we wanted to search for treasure under chair 10.
there were a number of dangerous stream crossings on the way up. this one wasn't particularly difficult, but when you're miles out in the BC, help can be hard to find and a sprained ankle can kill you in seconds.
this one was relatively safe, although it was easy to get distracted by the beauty of it all.
arrrggghh! i found me buried treasure mateys. this would prove to be enough calories to get me through hole 2, when i fell apart.
tahoetrash on the wall
and again
more bootey. aye, we'll be livin' large this evenin'.
trash in the spokes
looks like he found some dubloons or somethin'
arrrggghhh! the black powder. you should leave that one be matey, lest ye be a pegleg like meself.
this spoke was fun too, but no treasure. won't be there much longer as the creek underneath was already poking through in spots.
the drain was a giant neverending snowbridge as well
leading to yet more crossings. at this point, the boots can go right in.
then we played some hippy golf, but i was still only interested in the snow.
