Where exactly did you "find" it?

If it was floating in an eddy or washed up on some rocks, good job, if it was stashed in some bushes, you probably just stole someone's boat while they were shuttling, and you suck.

    found kayak

Leroy, I can assure you of two things:
1- I most definitely didn't find it in some bushes. As an avid hitcher or bike shuttler, I do that all the time.
2- I Most Definitely do not suck

It was stuck on a rock in the river, half submerged and full of flotsam, etc...

It's terribly bad Karma to steal one's boat, (telling people they suck is not great either)

Also Leroy, He would just sell the the boat if he stole it instead of asking for someone to ID it and call him on his home phone.
    - shortbus is offering it up to whom-ever lost the thing and I think you (if you're a boater) would appreciate that a lot if it was your boat. But shortbus is talking Montana boaters... friendly folk who don't talk shit when a fellow boater is trying to do the right thing.

Well then good job for getting it to shore and trying to find the owner, I'm sure they'll be glad to get it back.

If have seen people with good intentions take something someone intentionally left behind before thinking it was "lost".
