Thumbs up Lost TR from Yurp

Telepath and I were publishing TR's from last winter on another website, but somewhere along the line the webmaster just stopped putting them up.

Here's one that we resurrected from my first 10 days in France, brought to you by Telepath's mad website steez. Here's to more of this in the future!!!

    Thumbs up

The first one was nice and wide and the snow was as good as we had hoped, so we decided to make another lap and work our way down the ridge. The next couloir was a bit more serious, and involved my second no-fall zone of the day. A couple turns in nice creamy pow led to a narrow rocky ridge above a very painful-or-fatal-if-you-fell cliff that we had to downclimb to enter the couloir. Then, once we all got into the couloir, we still had to downclimb the top section before we could get to the skiable part. Sweet! There is nothing quite like downclimbing what might be class 5 rock and snow with gloves and skis on to make you focus.

Please say hello to Bjarke for me.

I also wanted to apologize for any rude comments I made on ttips when your tour was in our neck of the woods. I’m an ass sometimes. Take care.

No need and no harm done. Your heckling us for not touring enough was completely ok with me; to each their own and all that. And if I manage to stay intact next time I'm around Tahoe I'm going to take you up on your touring offers.

Lets see, tour of the classics....

Cross, Comma, Crescent, and Hall of the Kings (and just for kicks Baby Cham).

Since that time we have spent a lot of time discussing skiing and lots of other subjects over the internet; both via various skiing-related websites and private corresponcance.

Then came the time when Adam was suddenly in France during the spring of 2003; and eventually ended up close to La Grave and Serre Chevalier where Bjarke resided at the time. We ended up touring together one day in Col du Lautaret and sharing a few beers afterwards, before Adam headed on to Chamonix and later on back across the pond to Mt. Baker. Over the following summer various events led to our common plan of spending winter together...

too close. I have an image of Fabio, on the cover of a cheap romance novel, stuck in my head.......................

While you jokers don't realize it there is a whistler pinhead who's name is actually Fabio.

So'd you find the missing chronicles?

Yeah, it seems I've found the last US report as well. I had to excavate it from the debris of the unfortunate and way too early demise of my laptop. If we deem it read-worthy I'll post it somewhere.

I don't think there was anything written from the time after this first Euro one though; at that time I guess we where waiting for the last US and first Euro to go up elsewhere before writing more - and as that didn't happen things just ran into the sand...
