    Last days of summer TR

Went down to the penninsula this weekend here are the highlights included:
•Not rowing in the only section of rapids for a long time while eating chips and salsa
    •Skilak Lake at sunset
•Seeing our buddies on the river
•catching a steelhead and silver down on the anchor
•Fitting 2 boats, a motor, 2 gas cans, all our food, camping and fishing stuff into a CRV
    •Not getting shot by anybody

A cluster of kids in an inflatable boat armed with with fish hooks coupled with hungry grizzly bears sounds like the plot of a bad made-for-TV movie.

well you have to paddle across the lake to get to the "rapids" its really like class 1 not class 3, of course the draw is the fishing, which was terrible this week, it'll get better soon though
