way to step it up! just my $.02, but as a veteran of a class iv/v swim or two though, i strongly suggest that you swim aggressively to shore--the feet up thing is ok if you like cracking tailbones on rocks and extended rough cold swims, but otherwise, gtfo of the water asap--and keep yer paddle if you can. way to get after it though!

Ah just got back. Did Chamberlains run on the North Fork of the American river
    Pretty sweet afternoon.

Only flipped 3 times, no swims, 1 portage of Bogus thunder since it was on the high end of my comfort level. I probably would have been fine had I run it, but I was having a great day and felt no shame walking this time.

ALl in all i did great, and it felt amazing.

another great weekend of class IV action

Had a legitimate swim on the South Yuba, getting sort of window-shaded/surfed onto my deck deck onto a rock shelf 2 inches under the water. was there for like a minute trying to figure out the best way to get out of it. didn't really work out

    also ran a couple drops
