PORT TOWNSEND -- The Coast Guard is looking for the crew of a sailboat found adrift off Point Hudson Wednesday, but not to return the vessel.
The 20-foot sailboat had on board 20 hockey bags stuffed with marijuana, 400 pounds in all, investigators said.
The red-and-white sailboat was spotted by the ferry Klickitat about 5:45 p.m.
The marijuana was discovered after the boat was towed to the Port Townsend Marina, Petty Officer Kurt Frederickson said.
Last weekend, the Coast Guard said it recovered 200 pounds of marijuana after stopping a boat as it crossed into American waters from Canada.
They arrested an American citizen in that incident.
