sigh... I make a dozen good turns in that run, one sticky patch/caught edge and all the camera gets is a shot of me standing still and another when I'm losing it.

The good news is I bought a new pair of boots on Sunday that hurt like hell, but I can slay it for three runs at a time!
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Masterofgreenbeans rules! Bourbon and Bacon! Dude killed it for a TGR jong. FKNA!

Someone must have a better pic than this, but Splat's friend Rob (lurker here?) went inverted on the tribute Spats. My iPhone pic sucks. I think CDLV may have video of the event. Rob stuck it, then the ski released and he still rode it out - Shane woulda been proud.

No, it's Robb from Mammoth. He used to run the demo shop there.
We hooked up with him about five years ago and the dude skied avy chutes switch his first run on the 188 Bros.
He's a bad ass mofo and will be riding the Bros on the freeride circuit next season.
He had never been on either the spats or the Lhasa 196 and backied off that cornice first run on both and stuck it.
Said he did all of Climax in three turns on the Lhasas. I know there's footie and better pics out there somewhere.
Wish I could have seen it, but I could only do one to two runs a day and only on soft, fresh snow, as my meniscus screams on any little bumps.

It is great to hear you are able to get back on skis!!! Hope you keep healing up bud and are able to ski more than just a few runs SOON!

Would have LOVED to made it out to Mammy this year, but, alas, I am back in PA looking for work yet once again

    That There Climax Hucking

    Man, that was something else!
Riding up the gondi, looking around, noticed 3 or 4 peeps standing at the edge of Climax (slightly lookers right of the center), then suddenly see a guy huck over, and the light flashes of 2 ski's, perfectly parallel, as he rotates backwards, lands, goes hella fast, makes a turn, one ski pops off, he makes another turn, or two, before going down. F*CK!
I'm like "whoa! that guy just hucked into Climax"
*No one else in the gondi saw the huck...*
Then I thought I recognised cdlv, in his blue jacket, ski down to the guy.
No-one else he was with looked familiar, but I figured it was prolly a Maggot.

Next gondi ride, past McCoy, I'd told the peeps in the car about what I just saw...*AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN! AND NO-ONE ELSE WAS WATCHING!!!*
I got a better view of the backflip this time. And he ski's away with style!
I couldn't believe Cinders missed it twice.
...Riding up with a coupla baggy-pants dudes later, they said they'd heard about it, and saw the guy at The Beach "he was real old too, about 50 or something"...I think he's about 30

    1. props to Robb the Mammoth Local and backflipping mofo for aiding in our use of the Mill kitchen facilities.

    2. mad props to The Mill chef and kitchen staff for letting us use the oven for pizza and pork preparation and to the bar staff and crew for letting us slide out the shot ski.

    3. Bodhi: time to get Dude some skis or a board (they have a dog @ A-Basin in Summit that rides a snowboard around the "beach"...)

    4. all of my pictures were taken by Ottime, Sinecure, CDLV, Adominable, V, and Kuba, so i'll let them post 'em.

mucho gracias for all the visual stokage!
