Many of you may already know about the Vertical Challenge and hopefully some of you are participating, so this post is to drum up support not only for our team but for the cause itself. If you don't know about it, check this out:

A quick rundown is that it is a fun competition with the ultimate goal of fundraising so young adults with cancer can get a weeklong kayaking/outdoor camp for free. Most of them wouldn't otherwise ever be able to do something like this. First Descents is the group that puts these camps together, and they are awesome!

We put together a team of 5 women from Colorado and Montana to participate in the Challenge. Between May 15th and June 15th, we will make as many vertical miles as possible, but our main goal is to raise enough between the 5 of us to send 5 young people with cancer to First Descents kayak camp. It costs $1000 per person, so we each hope to raise that much.

I understand times are tough, but if you can- share the love, and share the wealth. I don't care who you donate through, the important thing is to donate!

You can donate, by paddler here, just select the name of the paddler you want to sponsor:

For the cost of a tank of gas, all of us together, we can share with others the love and joy we experience while boating. Donate whatever you want, remember those beautiful beaches we love are but millions of grains of sand, each small one builds something huge and wonderful. Each small donation helps create something greater than itself.

Thanks in advance for your support, regardless of who you donate through.
