if i was in couloirado i'd ski with ya. i'd like to know how the skiing is.
It's nice, much better than not skiing at all. Better than night skiing at Keystone. Better than icy bitter cold days. Better than breakthrough crust. Not as good as powder or good spring corn though.Originally posted by AltaPowderDaze

But we all know that comparisons are odious...
I need some advice from other Coloraggots - is there an easy place to meet in Estes Park so we can carpool into RMNP?

You've got to be kidding me! I'd rather ski drunk at night and slide lit up neon rails instead of driving halfway across the state and hiking all day for 100 feet of vert. I bet you've never even night skied......Originally posted by SheRa

Ouch. I would concur with Blurred tho, much rather night-ski 2300' vertical at Keystone than hike for a patch..
Seeing nothing else is available, and I'm sure the hike would help get in shape - hope you went!

personally i'd rather take a full moon pow run in the bc than slide rails, but i don't jib. 12" on a stable 35 degree slope with the moonlight at your back.
