Great contest story by bad_roo. Reminded me of John Updike and that's a good thing in my book.

Splat's "autobiofictional" gave me the grins. Good stuff.

And not bad going yourself. I know that it takes balls to write something in a language that ain't your mother tongue. And it didn't show (the language, not the balls). Yeah, that dog stinks. Friendly though.

There's a whole lore surrounding that gondola lift at LG. Way charismatic.

thanks Al, Kris helped to polish the writing though (and he changed the title, which I like very much).

I was very eager to write it in english and then, when I read it on Aspect, I can only see the pitfalls.

OK with Roo, this gondola has a strong karma. Gondolas are like that in general, places of exchange and expectation and anticipation.

I should note that Splat's story came out of the AJ archives. It originally ran in the very first edition, 10.31.03.

New submissions are always welcome: http://www.aspectjournal.com/submit.html. The maggots make up a decent portion of AJ's contributors. Not that there's anything "decent" about the maggots.
