Heh, as soon as I read that I thought about the south park episode where the town came down with SARS. Sprite, chicken soup and plenty of rest. Hang in there girl, you'll kick this one for sure. Besides, I still need to make some northern hemisphere turns with you.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Well, I got through today on a lot of ibuprofen and various other things. I ended up having to work 11 hours today so that probably wasn't the best thing, but oh well. At least I'll be able to afford the doctor bills. I still won't know until I get tested next week if I have it for sure. I'm now laying on the couch drinking Gatorade and watching reruns of Sex and the City alternated with ski vids. At least I have a long weekend coming up.

    Thanks for checking in.
Not on here much anymore. Drop me an email if you want to contact me. Have a wonderful winter!

A guy that I worked with last year was diagnosed with West Nile. He's in his 50's but plays like he's in his teens, very active, runs, plays tennis on a bi-weekly basis, and put in 65 days last year.

He thought he had a bad flu, after coming back from a trip, but couldn't shake it. His case was milder than others but still wiped out his energy pretty good. He beat it, pretty solidly with a little down time. Listen to your body and your doc, and see what happens, don't put all of your eggs in one basket just yet.

    Best of luck.

    Aw, girlfriend, this just sucks.

Really hoping you get well quick...

This post would be almost 10 times better if you posted a picture.

And I was trying to be the first one on the board to catch West Nile (I live in an area where the mosquitos are infected, I spend a lot of time outside, and I get at least a few bites a week). Oh well, I guess I'll have to find another disease to get first.

Neither does my job right now. The docs haven't started me on any antivirals, they said the only thing I can do right now is to let my body fight it off, take good care of myself, and watch closely for signs it's gone neurological. They've already called me this morning to check in. So, if I start posting REALLY weird shit, let me know. I'm still hoping it's only the flu.
Supportive care is usually the treatment of choice.

I live just north of the epicenter of WNV in Arizona. We see, and test people for it daily. In the past year we have only admitted one person (elderly) for the disease. And have only had a few positive cases. Everyone else has been hydrated in the ER and discharged to home.

I think you're going to bust out of it soon. With plenty of time to crank some turns hopefully soon. Get well.

    Good info from CDC
