EAGLE, Colo. (AP) -- The Kobe Bryant case collapsed Wednesday as
prosecutors said they had no choice but to drop the sexual assault
charge against the NBA star because the alleged victim could no
longer participate.
With the parents of the 20-year-old accuser looking on, District
Judge Terry Ruckriegle threw out the case under a deal that means
no charges will be refiled.
"The people have filed a motion to dismiss this case based on
the fact the sole victim at this time is unable to go forward,"
District Attorney Mark Hurlbert told the judge.
Bryant still faces a federal civil lawsuit filed by the accuser
that seeks unspecified damages.

It really makes you wonder about this case. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to pull samples from a rape victom at the ER one night. We had no female nurses on duty that night that knew the procedures. Luckily my cop sister in law worked with the rape crisis center and was there for the victom.

The biggest thing that is told rape victums is not to shower after being attacked. It can destroy evidence. Since the young lady had a total of 3 samples of male sperm on one pair of panties she contracted over a 36 hour period. Well it is obvious she didn't shower. But the prosecution was going to have a hard time explaining this. I think Kobe would have ended up walking.

I look for Kobe's wife to file for divorce tomorrow and get a massive check.

But I wonder if Kobe will file suit against the Eagle county DA for malicious procecution, and then file suit against the victom herself.

From what I understand unlike criminal court the victoms life style is admissible in civil court cases. LEGAL MAGGOTS is this correct or not.

Frankly I don't think the girl will end up with a dime from Kobe, but will make a fortune off of the book deal.
