Not to discourage... but i was on skyscraper yesterday and it was in very very poor condition. This is not an unqualified statement as I was also there two weeks ago and it wasnt all bad. The runnels have more than doubled in size in the past two weeks from all of the rain and there was a bunch of soil washed down over the snow as well. Additionally, the rain caused increased rockfall which totally trashed the bottom third of the 'glacier.' However, options are slim... so i dont really have any other reccomendations. Just wanted you to know. It is a beautiful area though, hope it all goes well.

I really appreciate the beta. Can you tell me if it there was a safe path into the snow? I don't really want to huck myself into a bunch of runnels.

Last night I was watching this movie about summer skiing in Colorado. They had a bunch of Mt Evans and Skyscraper footage as well. It was very cool, circa 1991. There was a snowboarder and a lot of neon, which kinda made my eyes hurt. But they were doing jump turns with longass skinny skis, what a trip. It's funny, we ski the same mountains but it looks a leetle different in terms of style. Looked fun though.

I wonder if some NSA computer scanning run picked up on SheRa's thread title and has now activated a surveillance team.

    Shera,
No worries on the entrance... you dont have to enter the narrow corniced side that always shows up in the pictures you see. Across from that there is a 30m shelf of snow that you can enter at any point. Skiers left is the least suncupped... but it is all very clear when you get there. There are really no suprises. Have fun.
