    Thumbs up Positive vibes needed

    Hey gang,

Our own nurse ratchet, LAN5578675309, is going through a crappy spell for bit here, and could use some positive energy.

Hang in there, dood! Keep thinking about winter!
    It's idomatic, beatch.

Get better LAN. Maybe you can trick a strapping young lad into a ball fondling.

Seriously, I hope all is well.

I hope this doesn't have to do with Cletus' lap dance!

Thanks everyone. I sure wish it involved a lapdance from Cletus! That would be much more enjoyable, for sure. Seems as though the shitty county hospital that I work my arse off in has given me a nice little antibiotic resistant staph infection in the form of a sore on my leg. I'm totally grossed and freaked out. I see the chief of the Infectious Disease Dept on Friday to see if the oral antibiotics (one that is said to work for this nasty stuff) is kicking in. If not, it might require 7-10 days of IV antibiotics ... IN the hospital.

I keep wondering though, "What did I do to deserve this?" I work so hard to take good, compassionate care of people and here I am. Fucking sucks.

Also! This just in ... Kona has fleas! *barf*

On a better note however, fall is in the air!

Wow that sucks. Take care of yourself and heal up fast!

Well ... things aren't going so hot. The wound is getting bigger. Now it's about 3 inches in diameter. I called the doctor and he wants me to come to the hospital right after work today. I've had tears in my eyes all day.

i had to go through the staph infection thing with my knee after surgery, and it's not too fun. it was really painful (in a really high temperature way). in reality though, you'll be totally fine in the long run. don't dwell on it, look at it as a way to suck down painkillers and sit on your ass for a few.
