    Another Utard Relocation Happening

It's official. As of October 1st, I will no longer reside in a city of endless climbing and limited skiing. I will take up residence in a state with endless climbing AND skiing. This will be my third time moving to Utah in the last 14 years, and hopefully my last.

The realtor has been contacted, the for sale sign is up. The employer has been notified and the U-Haul rented. Got a house about 3 miles above Garden City and the beautiful Bear Lake. I will be on the other side of the pass from Stoy and TwoPlanks, and 100 miles north of the Uintas and Wasatch. So Stash and Xover and the rest of you Utards, get your goals in mind, and let's tear that shit up this season.

See you at the trailhead in the Uintas for the Utah Mini, sled idling, ready to go.

The view from my deck in the summer......

    And in winter...........

And of course good climbing in Logan Canyon in the summer...

Track, you would be refering to Twoplanker. I too have a Beaver Mountain pass, so if you are in for that, we can meet up at the mountain. I live now in the Ogden area, but things worked out a bit weird, kid coming, moving.... and I bought the pass last year with like 3 weeks to go and then good for all this season. $220 is a deal for that. They do this every season.

    Beaver Info

Tons of BC, Stoy will be the man to take you places, however I have heard him bitch about "working for your turns" and the pollution of sleds, yet on the phone the other day, he was saying how he could take yall to some great spots with sleds.

2P does a good amount of BC as well, I like to ride a lift for the most part. Postholing with a snowboard just in not my kind of fun.

Nice place, know pretty much where you will be, sledding trails and BC EVERYWHERE. I have been sledding half a dozen times all over back there. Fun to say the least.

That climbing pic: last year there was a moose camped out under the ledge for 2 weeks. Pretty cool.

PM me for my cellie when you get a chance, will help out when I can.

So what are you doing up here? Will you work in Logan, or the ER up there somewhere?

    Welcome (again)!!!!

Hey Trackhead, where are you moving from?

Do you happen to know the Woods?
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.

I will just leave the sled at home when touring with Stoy, or wait until his soul cracks at the thought of access to distant, mysterious peaks that require an all day slog just to get to the base.

I'll be working at LRMC in the ED. Weekend shifts, leaving more time forfreshies on the weekdays.

Damn, I got the M-F schedule.

One year I rode mostly by myself, on unemployment.

Hit every Monday and it was a season to remember. Jamming tunes, boarding whatever I could, oh that was fun times.

We will have to get something worked out at least one day this season.

I got permission for a few "Im too sick to come to work, but there is a foot of pow and I simply have to drive past work for now" days.

hey hey hey... I don't bitch about earning the turns. No way. Thats what makes BC skiing that much more enjoyable. And there are some areas I think sleds should not be able to go, but they do have their place in society and I have no angst against them, until I'm breathing the exhaust because we did not get out early enough. And remember this....I never said I would not take a ride by a sled....in fact, I like sleds, when they are towing skiers to those far to reach places like................................Double Top, To the Naomi Wilderness lines to access a whole shitload of great skiing.

    oh boy, i'm excited!

Trackhead, moved from the cache valley area (my hometown) to the suburbs of SLC and my wife and I are already planning our return. You have chosen wisely. See you around.

The picture of Logan Canyon is Daniel Woods. He climbs quite a bit at one of the rock clubs in town. Kid is super strong. In the last 3 years he just rocketed through the grades. He's one of the youngest people to do a .14. A couple months ago I saw him pretty much walk up a route in the gym, lower off, and do it again, both times just smooth. Went over to look at the grade: 13.

    Sorry phrased incorrectly.

I remember reading or hearing something about not using sleds to access CERTAIN areas and that people in those areas should earn their turns. I never hear you bitch about earnig YOUR turns, you like that kinda stuff.
That is why you get "The Machine" tagged onto your name sometimes. Much respect, Stoy, please dont get me wrong.

Partly giving you shit too, cause I have heard you talk about sleds in a derogatory manner. (which can be true sometimes)

Of course, you can sling away at me for the complete opposite, I like to ride something up to come down. Im lazy like that.
BC seems like fun to extend the season, but yes, I would bitch ALL THE WAY UP.
