Bikes for sale - Maggot/Minion pricing.

I have to clear some room in the garage for the ever growing supply of baby related stuff, so I need to sell a couple bikes. I figured I'd give the maggot/minion collective first crack at them at a better price, then put them on ebay.

These are the two beauties that have to go:

The first is a 1999 FSR Elite (Big Hit) (frame size is 17 inches and it weighs in at around 37 pounds). This frame utilizes the same Max Backbone technology that their team issue DH frames used. It is VERY burly.
I upgraded the following stuff on it:
-2001 Marzocchi Jr T fork (6 inches of travel).
-BETD swing link and cartridge/roller bearing kit for 6 inches of butter smooth rear travel.
-Fox Vanilla R rear shock w/ 750lb spring.
    -XT shifters and derailleurs.
-BRAND NEW Hayes Hydraulic brakes with 8" rotor in front, 6" in back.
-Thompson straight and layback seat posts.
-Hand build wheels (Sun Rhyno lites w/ 14 gauge spokes laced to DT Swiss Onyx hubs)
    -Wellgo MG-1 Magnesium platform pedals
    -Sachs PC-99 chain
-FSA PIG DH pro headset (bombproof!)
    -Titec Berserker DH saddle
    -Oury grips
-MAXXIS Highroller 2.5 front tire and MOFO DH 2.35 rear.

I've invested over $3k in it, but I'm asking $850 for maggots/minions. I'll put it on ebay for $1000.
    Here she is:

The second bike is a bone stock 2003 Giant AC Air. Frame size is 18 inches. The only thing I upgraded is the pedals and yep, they are Wellgo MG-1 magnesium platforms. It's a great bike and it's only be ridden about 10 times. It has 4, 5, or 6, inches of travel in the rear and 4 or 5 in front. Air shock to keep weight down to around 30 pounds. Avid ball bearing disc brakes. WTB Mutanoraptor Race 2.4 tires. Manitou Black Elite air fork 100/120mm travel.

    I'm asking $850 for maggots/minions. I'll put it on ebay for $1000.
    Here she is:

They are both great bikes and have been very well maintained. The Specialized shows the typical signs of usage for a bike that's gottne me through as many seasons as it has, but the frame/components are all structurally sound and the bike is BOMBPROOF. The Giant is in AS NEW condition.

I'd much rather see them go to a good home with a maggot/minion that sell them to someone I don't "know".

PM me if you're interested in either.

If you just need more room in the garage, I have some extra space in the shed that I could "store" them. Plus, I'm local, so really, wouldn't that be way more convenient?

Myles - email and PM sent.

E - I also forgot to mention that I could use the cash.

I hate to sell some of my babies, but sometimes you gotta make the sacrifices for the kid.

Are we still talking about bikes here?

Seriously, when are you going to drag my pathetic bike-jong self around Fountainhead?

If you cant sell it and decide to part it out, I'll buy your fork, wheels, and brakes.

E - Christ, I hope that wasn't some type of Freudian slip on my part or something. I mean, my daughter keeps me up all night, but I don't want to sell her. We should definitely hook up for a fountainhead ride one of these days, the next week looks like AWESOME weather, so the trails there will be in prime shape.

Cant - I'd be happy to lend it to you for a ride there. I'm not opposed to parting it out. Make me an offer for the fork, wheels and brakes.

Train - Cant gets dibs on the fork since he asked first, but if he doesn't want it. Make me an offer.

Sounds good, is the rear wheel offset? I vaguely remember someone mentioning that it was...but it could of been the newer ones with the 24inch rear wheel. It would go on Soul Cycles Titan, and I dont think the rear stays are assym.

Cant - no, there's no offset in the rear wheel. I believe I heard the same thing about the 24 inch rears on the newer Big Hits, but not this one.

The Giant is sold. Great meeting you Jeff. I hope you enjoy the bike.

Let's definitely hook up for some singletrack shredding this Fall or some turns this Winter.

There are a TON of great spots around the Northern VA/Maryland area for mountain biking. I'd be happy to show you around.

Cant - If you're still interested, I'd be willign to part the Big Hit out. You'd LOVE the Jr T, the wheels, and the Hayes Brakes. It'd be a smoking setup for pretty cheap.
