    Alta POV 4/09/2009

First day with the pov1 at Alta with my brother John (DXII). Still trying to figure out what the grey horizontal lines are all about. Any pov1 experts feel free to comment.

    Nice! Yesterday was fun indeed.

The only suggestion is to move the camera up a little bit so we are looking at where you are going instead of your skis.
Just ski down there and jump of a somethin' fer cryin' out loud!

Do the grey lines appear in the unedited AVI copied straight from the flash? I would check the cable connection, make sure it is tight on both ends (thats what she said). They do have somewhat of a troubled history, so it could just be a bad cable.

I rode the lift with you guys for the first run of the morning, glad to see you got the angle of the helmet cam figured out. Looks like you got some good skiing in.

Yeah it shows up on the unedited clips. I will try it one more day with double checking the cables and a new sd card before sending it in. Thanks for the help.

What goggle mount are you using btw? The old velcro one or the new plastic mount? Might want to tighten your helmet a little, some of the shake in the video seemed like it was coming from that. Impressive first time out with the POV1 though, I wasted 3 powder days in Vail trying to figure mine out.

Yea sick POV boys... Love to see the alta good times going down!!! Ive been in alaska for the last two weeks....seems like its been snowing there nonstop since I left and it was great to get to a vicarious taste of whats been happen'n. Been pretty stormy here, though we have been out a few days.

seems like you got some good trouble shooting advice about the weird lines.... check cords, cards, etc. and I would agree that on mikes part a little more tilt up will provide a better viewing perspective and your hands a ski tips will still pop into the frame.
great work!! keep it up !

So you're jamming out and then someone tells you that "Ooh Aah" is about finding god and the song is ruined for you. Or at least that's how it went for me.

He really likes them there. I think he wrote a pretty extensive review on them, just do a search.
