    Yesterday

was a good day. I was off of work AND I bought Yearbook, Sinners, P-Tex Lies Duct Tape, Blizzard, Dr. Strangeglove (a 3 pack), Soul Purpose, Stimulus, Junkshow, and The Realm, as well as a DVD player from my man Vets. Yes I pissed away about my entire pay check but it got me thinking about the things in life that really matter. Skiing is much more important right now than my some girl whining about how my friend won't talk to her or even my traffic ticket that has to be paid off within the next month. I have been ridiculously busy lately, almost too busy to post here, and yesterday I just let go of my inhibitions. Like a woman going shoe shopping .

You guys probably don't care, but I just wanted to say that it feels good to get away from it all sometimes. Can't wait to pop in a couple of these movies in sequence when they come in and just forget that any part of the rest of the world exists. I'll glue my eyes to the TV and for a couple hours I will be skiing.

P.S. All these new movies coming out is making me anxious about winter. I went to a play that my mom starred in last night, so I had to wear something nice (i.e. long pants for the first time in a gooooood while). As we walked outside from the theater, I half expected a cold breeze to surprise us like it does in October. I got to thinking how really ready I am for winter to come. I find assurance in the fact that winter is coming. Hooray for winter.

Ok, I'm done. You can bash me now...

No bashing here....new ski movies and cooler weather plus the stoke for an upcoming season are incredibly theraputic and I think that all of us can relate to your situation.

Nice man. Sounds like you have some serious stoke coming. You'll love Sinners, and if you don't at first, watch it more and more, every time I see it I like it even more, and I've seen it about 100 times. Other than that, enjoy the stoke and keep hope alive for an epic winter.

I know the feeling. I got up this morning with a little hangover and watched HIgh Life. Now its raining and I keep wishing it was snow so I could go make a few turns.

I can deffinatly relate the weather hear has cooled a bit but its supossed to go up this week but the leaves on the mountains are changing color. The ski sales all start next weekend and I buy my pass to the bird. Yea its comming hopefully it will be a good one. And Max remember any money spent on a girl now is probably money spent on someone elses wife. Enjoy being young and spending your money.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Sounds like a very productive day Max. Cool weather and snow dusting the peaks gave way to highs in the 80's today. Still fall is in the air. The fires too have calmed. Soon now reports will be of low pressure dropping down from AK, lowering freezing levels and precip. measured in feet and low humidity. Ahhh, transistion.

Heh, I did the exact same thing, but no rain for once. I think I also decided that I was done with college and that I'm moving west as soon as my lease ends, so skiing claims another life

Nice! I'm feeling the stirrings of Autumn as well. The tops of the aspens are just barely showing a little color.

Heh. "Yesterday" in reference to Sunday WAS a good day. Yesterday in reference to Monday or Tuesday: shit. Total shit. I didn't sleep last night because of school work. I came straight home from work (FUCK YOU AND YOUR SCHEDULING ME DURING THE BUSIEST TIME OF MY LIFE, BOSS!!!) and read my entire book. Tonight, I have popped some more caffeine in preparation for doing a couple physics essays, some labs, papers on the damned book, a paper from what we read in class, and EMT stuff, which just started and is already being piled on.

I have never been so damned busy in my life. It sucks. I don't really even have time to enjoy being alive. I think this trip coming up to Boulder and Denver will be the most welcome of all trips I have ever taken and possibly of many that I will take. I now know the true meaning of the word "need" in the phrase "need a vacation."

4 minutes wasted right there with this post. Back to work. Wish me luck...

    Learn to slack.

Then learn to combine slacking with a 3.8 GPA.

Max, as soon as you send your transcripts into college begin to slack off a bit, and once you hear that you've gotten in where you wanna go, just do enough work to pass. A friend of mine did something like this, turned his senior year from the worst to the best of his life in like 6 weeks. It's what I plan on doing when the time comes, I hafta make up for Saturday classes somehow. Damn, that reminds me, school starts in a week.
