    SteelSteeze

I finished building up my 15 year old steel Peugeot road bike today. Nice mix of beater parts. Should make for nice getaway transport sprinting away from cops and anarchists next week in NYC.

I did that with my old Univega. Made it into a single speed.

I don't like to get all "steel is real" on people, but I love it. My current MTB hardtail is Columbus Nivacrom, and I just converted my '92 big S Hardrock to singlespeed this weekend.
As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

Wow, those are really cheap bikes.

Anyway, I just joined your steel steeze club with a bike that cost as much as bottom bracket on a serotta.

Picked up a used Kona Custom steel frame over the Labor Day weekend and just finished building it up with some old Ultegra/ DuraAce parts. Hand-built, TIG-welded- Really nice work. Took it out last night for the first time.

    Sweeeeeet ride!

I was suppose to have gotten another steel frame, but UPS lost it in SLC a month ago and there's still been no progress in finding it, other than UPS security getting involved.
