I need Pics

Hey all I got a Q.
I'm starting a ski shuttle service in the Seattle area. I'm trying to find some pics for my Rack card, flyers and web page.
Any suggestion on were to get photos, or are there any photogs out there that would be willing to let me use some picks?
Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the leads
The bus is a multi week ski shuttle from the Seattle and Bellevue areas, at least to start. I'm going to try and have departures Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The program runs 8 days over 9 weeks, skipping the week of Presidents Day and will alternate between Stevens and crystal. Cost per person will include a seat on the bus and a lift ticket both of which are discounted at group rates.

Its a stock photography site. Some people put stuff up for free, others put restrictions like wanting to be credited. Just search for key words and it will bring stuff up. Have to register/log in to get full res pics I do believe. If ya don't wanna do that I am a member there so if ya want something full res just link me to it or PM me.

Hey, there were a ton of photos on that site and I did find a few that might work thanks for the tip. But I still need some close up pow shots, and some good tree scenes, I've been working with crystal and Stevens to get some shots, but it like pulling teeth this time of year to get anything from them

Quality work costs money. Crystal and Stevens should not be giving you any photography unless it is used to directly promote the resort. Usually the licensing agreement with the photographer and the resort allows the images to be given out to 3rd parties ONLY if the images are used to directly promote the resort. Otherwise the photos are not being used under the licensing agreement, and technically being stolen from the photographer. Photographers work hard to make good images (as well as the athletes we work with) as well as investing a lot of money to make these images happen.

I understand, but you have to start somewhere. I was referring to the fact that the summer staffing if very low and it takes time to get things done, so far the areas have been very helpful with this project of mine.

midget, I hear what you are saying but if the resorts are giving him the images to use and they don't fall under the specifications of the licensing agreement that's not really HBR's fault; is it? So technically it would be the resorts essentially fencing stolen goods with HBR having no knowledge of their source. Just seems like you should be busting their balls and not his.

HBR, I'm not trying to bust your balls, I'm sorry if I came off that way. I used to work in a resort and was the person that dealt with giving the photography (not my pics) out to people requesting the images. Many times people would call or email in to try and get photos for their advertising for free, just cause they knew we had them, and gave them out. I really just want to point that out to make sure he doesn't do it.

Teledave: they could both be at fault. Most resorts, and other large buisness that give out photos for PR/marketing purposes (some of the smaller one's might not) should have an agreement that the 3rd party will sign to make sure the user of the photos use it only for resort promotion purposes.

Anyways, good luck with the project.
I don't really know of much of any shuttle services going in the PNW, it's good to hear.
Make sure you post the site here when you get it done.

No worries midget I can appreciate where you’re coming from, I wouldn't call it a ball buster it felt more like a slight squeeze, no more like a firm fondling. I will post a link to our home page as soon as I can. Most likely in a couple of weeks.
