The new lift seems to be aligned further to the right than I thought it would be. Seems like it parallels old collins pretty closely?

I actually think that's a good location. It splits skier traffic from corkscrew left to Wildcat & right to the new Germ.

Less crowd in one area, while people who want into the GMD or the parking lot can ski right through.

My concern is that new cat-track right into the middle of the face. If that stays after construction, some people are gonna get LAUNCHED.

Yeah, I think it will be a good location as well. I just thought it would be aimed more to the left, than it is.

The cat-track looks like it will be staying since they have all that straw layed down to prevent erosion.

they had something similar last year, but its only use was to get the dump trucks to the cat track under hi-rus. now they have a lot more equipment and more gear to cart up the hill so they need a wider and more level track. I'm sure they don't want it to erode either. I can't see any reason to keep it through the season. It just seems that it would cause more problems than good. they'd have to camp a patrol under that thing with a few sleds and neck braces.

It looks like it is headed to where watson's used to be.
If I remember correctly, they were talking about moving watsons to the lookers left where germ was and putting the lift right where watson's was. they say it will angle there with unloading only.

Edit: btw, i think they are calling it collins now. I wonder if they are going to change grem pass to collins pass?
