A storm rolled into the Northwest late yesterday into today- reminiscient of winter, with dark gray skylines, wind and pouring rain. So I spent the day at work, frustrated to see that a majority of largely unboatable lower river levels had their cfs counts skyrocket and not being able to get in the kayak or on the mtn. bike (felt like missing a powder day). The Snoqualmie river rose a ton today, getting me to ponder how all that rain could have translated into the 'feet' at Alpental if it were only about 20 degrees cooler and two months later. One section went up from 400 cfs to 9300 cfs in two days.
Anyhow, had to post a little leftover stoke from last season to keep the August blues away.
Pics from Crystal Mountain, Mt. Baker and Alpental.
