Thumbs up EC maggots, MSP "Focused" tour

I don't think this has been posted yet, looked back two pages:

The new film "Focused" by Matchstick Productions is being shown in a bunch of venues on the East Coast:

Thurs. Oct. 23 Northampton, MA Pearl Street Nightclub
Fri. Oct. 24 Portsmouth, NH Redhook Brewery
Sat. Oct. 25 Montreal, QC The Rialto Theatre
Mon. Oct. 27 Burlington, VT Higher Ground
Tues. Oct. 28 Boston, MA Harpers Ferry
Wed. Oct. 29 New York, NY Knitting Factory
Thurs. Oct. 30 Tannersville, PA Barley Creek
Sat. Nov. 1 Pittsburgh, PA Fat Cats

I'll be at the one in NYC, starts at 8pm and is all ages. They give away a ton of stuff and there's a band before it starts. Only 8 bucks.
I'll be asking change for a nickel. Anyone else in?

BTW, ONS, I'll be hitting the TGR one too. But that's in November. I even ordered the DVD already.

I'll prolly be there. I'm getting surgery done that morning, so I'll probably be experiencing the thing with the help of percocets or vicodin or something. Of course I can't afford perscription meds, so maybe it'll just be Jack Daniels for me.

Name a place that's close. We can't get into the Knitting Factory early, they have a VIP thing going on. That is, unless you can score tix, ol buddy ol pal.

Last time, they were 45min-1 hour late and we waited in line outside the whole time. Hopefully they won't do that again.

I'm not very familiar with NYC, usually try to stay away.

Absolutely B. We'll talk early next week. They usually do the early show for Dex, he needs to be home early.

Uhhm, yeah, I'm not allowed out very late, so I get to go to the kiddy show.
I've actually heard nothing about the earlier show yet, but I'll take your word for it that it's happening--trust me, there's nothing VIP about it, just a bunch of magazine schlubs hanging out in their crappy suits.

then I didn't get it. I checked both email addys too. They're both real. One is a fake name though, for the spammers.

Just use a PM, it's easier.

How about the Village Idiot (14th St between 8th/9th Ave)? Or perhaps that's best for after the show.

Trying to think of a good place near the knitting factory to hang out beforehand, but it's been about 4 years since I was an NYC resident, and I never really hung out in that neighborhood anyway.
