Squaw's Tram Chute, Done Just Right

How about a little breakfast, cooked up Squaw style?

Mmmmm...three skiers just before dawn, March 2009. Yummy! (Look closely - they're in there down and to the lookers left of the tower - one at the top of the high promontory, one a few feet below that, and one in the chute just to the right of the tall, limbless, dead tree)

Skier two getting ready to drop

    Dropping - hold that edge!

One more to go from just below the top...

    Down towards the choke....

    Into the choke...

    It's steeper than it looks....

    Almost through the choke....

Skier three standing in the tracks of skier two....who went HUGE out the bottom....

Then the sun hit Tram Face and illuminated the insanity of their line.

And a close up of the tracks at the top from the Tram later in the day:

Wonder what's on the menu after the next storm?

Thanks for sharing Mr. Eggs. I enjoyed your photos.

This is a different line than was skied the other day, you can see the previous tracks on the left sides of pictures 1-5 and 10.

The top part that these guys skied (I think) is called Lua's Lane. Call it by any name you want - it's a sick descent on backyard terrain we all drool over. Giant props to whoever pulled it off.

Now that's a sick line...good on whoever got after it. The other dudes lines to the left are still pretty rad, but this is definitely stepping it up.

Wow! Thanks for posting. Props to those guys who skied it, although I'm sure the fun was reward enough.

    Pissy morning rant withdrawn.
Looks like I'm the jong for overlooking that it was a different line.
