Killington and other Vermont ski swaps?

Now that I'm closer, I can get to these. Anybody know some dates?

Not in VT, but the one at Wachusett is usually worth checking out. Lots of used stuff for sale, including race skis. Must have been 10 pairs of used Atomic 9'20's on the rack last year.

    Columbus day weekend.

For Killington swap, it's always been Columbus Day weekend... so if nothing has changed, October 9th and 10th probably. Make sure you stop by Aspen East for the free Ben and Jerry's. Okemo's swap is usually mid-November, week before Thanksgiving I think?

Every year the Stratton Mountain School holds a swap. If you want race stock gear, including DH boards, check it out.

The okemo swap has generally sucked, the killington one was slightly better, but lots of exorborantly high prices. I saw a pair of 180 AK Launchers with 914s...and the guy wanted 400. Not too much outside of race skis. A few old G41s, but thats about it. Everything looked pretty beat at both those swaps. The most exciting ski at the okemo swap was some solly super mountains.

Carrabasset Valley Academy has one, lots of race boards, but since the school has a big mountain and freestyle school, a better selection of twins and fat boards. Prices are less than at the kmart swap as well. Tons of dirt cheap DH boards, and usually has a lot of greensprings.

Dartmouth will have one, i think it was oct 25th or so last year.

    • Not using techtak 5 yards
    • Excessive spraying 10 yards loss of down
