Was up in Poop Chutes today, long & rocky traverse. Went from dry snow to mank as I entered some light fog. It was around 3pm, with sun exposure. Got to the first tree'd poop chute proper, and I heard it: whoomp. It look a little rocky, so I quickly moved to chute 2, and got my second whoomp. I turned tail, straightlined outta' there and moved fast.

I've never heard Poop Chutes whoomph before. Scary.

Talked to a patroller at the bottom, got a little lecture as he thought I was coming from Phalanx/Stairmaster without pack or partner. I did have a corpsefinder with me, but that's it. When he realised I just meant the traverse to Poop Chutes, he too was concerned. The snowpack is ROTTEN up there.

Be careful, superstars. And ski those sun aspects only in the morning.

Scary were the people riding Husume without packs, with fracture lines around them ..
