TRs are one of the big reasons people come here, right? If there was a TR forum, it would be easy to go check out the most recent stoke without it getting bumped by all the crappy threads in ski/snowboard.

I've been on forums where mods will move posts to the forum they think they belong in. Kinda works, but i like the mini-mod aspect of this crazy place...

the funny thing is, in my time in both places, this place has seen way more moderating than TTips. It's just that the things that get moderated at TTips would not get moderated here. Of course, there's more volume here and WAY more jackholes. But neither site is moderated with a very heavy hand (by the moderators that is, the inmates do most of the moderation in both places). Dude, you can't even mention weed at ttips anymore. And they are all TELEMARKERS. Dumbest thing ever.
I would bet that the overall percentage of threads/posts that have been subject to moderation at ttips is at least 10X as high as TGR.

I think it might be time to revive this discussion. Splitboard.com has a separate TR forum and it works well for them.
I want to see stoke in the form of trip reports and not have to wade through junk to find it. The regional seasonal threads can stay in S&S ... but I do think it might be time to consider isolating the trip reports ..._______________________________________________
