thats the one. one of, if not the best fim i have ever seen.

even though i have watched it 50 or so times on dvd, i'm mos def gonna peep it on the big screen. people who like cinematography, vivid color, willd scenery, sick ass coreography and sword play, insane archer scenes, and a timeless story that grabs you by the heart and does not let go, will like this film. simply stunning.

plus i think she cute when she's mad:

    1. Waking Life.

    2. Pi.

    3. Requiem for a dream.

(Requiem for a dream and Pi were directed by the same guy: Darren Aronofsky)

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my lord for thee. Power hath decended forth from thy hand so our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. And we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti

    BAM!

There is a sequal called All Saints Day but I have no idea when it's going to come out.

Edit: You can get the sound for it here

In My Skin, foreign release section.

It's pretty intense blood-wise, 99% of people will probably freak out watching this. But it's not a horror or action movie.

    Be ready to squirm.

Hmmm. I just watched "Wandafuru raifu" ("Afterlife") a 1998 Japanese release. Not sure whether it was brilliant or just a great sleep aid. Actually, it was definitely closer to the second camp.

Sort of like a cross between an Ingemar Bergman movie and Sarte's "No Exit" if you get what I'm saying.

Holy shit, "no exit" was possibly the least entertaining movie ive ever seen, provocative, yet still like watching shotput

Some of my favs, in no particular order:

(I'm guessing most of you have not seen very many of these!)

Coca Cola Kid - Supremely confident American gets knocked down a peg or two (or several dozen) in small town Australia. Funny stuff, a token shower boobie, and a little kid cute enough to make even the most dedicated bachelor consider fatherhood.

Elvira, Mistress of Darkness - Mindless T&A entertainment, featuring the amazing, gravity-defying bosom of the tit(le) actress. Signature line: "I'd stand on my head an eat a bug." Hmmm, those knockers look real good upside down.

Swingers - Road tripping fun to Vegas, etc. Check out the classic video games the doods are playing. This movie IS the origin of the phrase: "You are soooo money."

The Way of the Gun - Recent Hollywood Taratino-esque flick with a fairly predictable plot. But the early sequence of the main characters waiting in line at a club and getting in a verbal spat with a woman is an absolutely f-ing classic. Enough foul language to make sailors, and even the South Park kids, blush with embarrassment.

The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Okay, these are by no means sleeper films. But I recently discovered that there is a whole generation of movie goers who have not seen, or even heard of these classic "buddy" films. I rented The Sting a while back and brought it over to a friend's house. My buddy and his wife enjoyed it a ton and couldn't get over that Newman and Redford were actually in a movie together! Of course then my buddy's wife mentioned that when the film was made she was not even born.

    Other obvious choices:

Dazed and Confused - Actually filmed during my junior high graduate!

The Stuntman - No, not a Hal Needham film with Burt Reynolds, but much, much more.

Sorority House Massacre II - Mostly famous for its theme song, Hose Me Down, played while some of the local HS girls do a gratuitous shower sequence.

Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Vixens - A classic in the Russ Meyers Bosom-mania series. Early 70s porn at its best. Shockingly alluring for us pre-teens at the time, but lamer than an episode of Charmed on TV today.

Just downloaded and watched Boondock Saints...

    Fuck

    ing

    Sick

One of the best movies I've ever seen, may have even replaced Pulp Fiction as my favorite mob/action/comedy flick. Although, I'll have to watch it a few more times before I make it official.

Best line ever: "Shut that bitch up before I come over there and fuckstart her head."
Yep, seen this before. Crazy liquor & cheeseburger party got out of control.
