    Fun box construction

I want to build a fun box for a little backyard jibbing this coming winter. Anyone know what type of plastic sheeting can be used to create a slick, durable sliding surface? And where to buy it? I've looked at Home Depot and Lowe's, no luck.

    And not latex, sickos.

Use Lexan. That's what's on all the ones at the resorts.
If you can't find it or don't want to pay for it, then you could use masonite, however it doesn't hold up well to heavy use or lots of moisture....so if you did, then you should cover the box when it's not in use, esp. when it's raining!

The boxes that were used at The Canyons that used masonite lasted about a month before the masonite had to be replaced......

Large plastic crates turned on end will work... not even solid surface... I think they are made to carry 4 milk gallons in... there were a couple of these on loveland pass.

I'd use something with sharp jagged edges. That will add an element of surprise.

    Babelfish kicks ass.

Lexan seems like the most expensive, but most durable plastic for use on the top of the box. Thanks Midget.
