dear lord that's a great lineup...

Punani -- I used to have the License cassette as well. Stumpy used to sell it directly. Sadly, it has run off some years ago....

"I'm sorry but you're scratching is up.... ahhh-hahahahahahahahahaha!"

Oh yeah- Skidawg also has the CJ Mackintosh mix "Spectrum is Green", the one at the start of License where you can relax, go to the fridge or dance.

Yeah, I scored that mix somehow - my memory is a bit fuzzy...

The License to Thrill soundtrack was a promo cassette by K2. I've seen a couple of copies on eBay through the years. Mine is vacuum sealed for preservation.

Ca$h has already been transferred to digital. Sounds like I'll be a bit busy transferring the movie soundtrack too.

    Man, bringing back memories...

I used to record all my old Stump movies onto cassette. Then I too got the "License" soundtrack on tape but pretty much played it until it melted into the deeper realms of hell.

OMG....this is the only thing I can't find!!!! Do you have it on vinyl? I'd love the exact artist/title/label/catalogue #/etc if you have it.

Other than that one, the hardest one to find for me wasn't the "CASH" album but the MC Tunes v. 808 State song "Dance youself to death". I have 7", 10", 12" of MC tunes but finally found it on an acid house compilation appropriately titled "DANCE YOURSELF TO DEATH"

I accidentally bought 2 copies, let me know if you want it.

Sweet! I'll take Dance yourself to death for 100 please, Alek.

I think Skidawg ripped a feed from audio into his computer and then burned it on CD.

I was obsessed with the License soundtrack. We all had cassette copies playing on Walkmans as we ripped the same lines on Catskinner, and went for the aerial re-entry hits on Blowhole

License rules as hard as Blizzard.

My guess on the bonus is "ski bum's highway" It was a freebee with a year of powder in the about 10 years ago.

Can't wait for this so I can finally throw away my vcr.

L8APX: I would STRONGLY discourage doing that... There is some good stuff out there to be gotten at good bargains on VHS. Plus DVD players can break... It sucks.

Anyway, bump cuz I'm in the middle of watching "Groove." And it kicks ass. Much much ass, as Ha Boi Ronald would say.

Edit. Bump^2 cuz Sinners just arrived today.

I just got off the phone with a guy from justpushplay.com. He said he spoke with one of the producers of the DVD's and they were adding some finishing touches and adding in some "really awesome new footage". He said it should be completed and ready to ship "real soon" so I'm thinking that if they are still adding stuff to the DVD's then they my not be done by the 15th.

Okay, I've watched (for the first time ever) so far Blizzard of Ahs, License to Thrill, & P-Tex, Lies, & Ductape. With respects to video and auido quality, it is first rate. They definetally made the DVDs from the source data. As for anything new, yeah, there is about 85 minutes of "Reunion" footage that I have not yet seen on License to Thrill. Not sure what "Reunion" means in the this context, sitting around bullshitting or shredding the gnar? I will edit this thread to add "Reunion" commentary once I watch it tonight.

Thoughts re: Stump's flicks so far:

You get a real feeling that these guys are doing something new and different. The word "Extreme" was in its infancy. The movies have already kind of blurred together, but noteworthy moments are Plake and Schmidt dropping under the observation deck in Europe, Black & White powder segment early on in Thrill, Root Down Mogul segment is great, and then there is Craig Kelley - F'ing unbelievable the level that dude rode at. As far as smoothness goes, he was it. That's something I take away from these movies. That is, snowboarders (or maybe it was just CK) at that time had a flow that the skiers didn't. Fast forward 10 years and I do not see that discrepancy. Not only are we smoother (fat skis to thank), but the skill level of skiing in terms of tricks and lines taken has increased dramatically. It leaves me with a great feeling about skiing, where it has been, where it is, and where it's going.
