    Finally some waves!

So last night the first swell to hit SoCal in prolly 2 months finally showed up! Man it was fun to have something bigger than knee high waves to ride. Makes the summer months go by much quicker when I can ride waves. I used to be killing myself by this point just waiting for it to snow.

Tonight was awesome. Shoulder - head high, glassy, consistent nice peaks, and only myself out. Really really nice night! Makes me really like SoCal sometimes. Surfing is good, that is all.

finally something fun on the EC too...(as posted in surftalk) this weekend was super fun...over head sets with nice long rides, not the crazy scary closeouts that give you stitches on the melon.
as much as i hate hurricane season for the folks down south, who usually have to deal with the brunt of the destruction...it makes paddling all summer long in knee high waves to get in shape worthwhile.

I was waiting for that. I almost jonged myself.

I was so stoked and happy about the session and was sitting here solo I had to share it with more than just Tuffy.

Hoping the swell holds for the morning session. The feeling of pumping and gliding down the line on a wave is really the only feeling that can come close to rippin the pow. One of those few acts in the world that generate the outloud giggling sensation!

    hahahaha

did the pre-dawn patrol this morning. 4 guys out already. surfed for about an hour and the fully donkeyed out on my way back to the beach.

i was riding a little shore breakish wave boogey board style when it occurred to me that i was probably going to hit rock if i didn't stop. at that same exact moment, i did. my board gets yanked out from under me. i get it and see my fin popped out and gashing the bottom deck. yay!
    fine
