    Saw that one in a Backcountry Magazine article about Solitude last year. Great shot.

    Honestly, that shit is lame. WP has no idea how to manage Vasquez Joke. Put a lift in an get some skier compaction going. You've got someone on staff with tons of avi/explosive knowledge on staff, let him do his stuff. I can hike 2 runs at the pass in the time it takes to do one in the Cirque and I don't have to avoid all the 'bo wanker pankcake put up in their "extreme areas"[/r]

    Agreed - Lame. The picture you see is Parsen Bowl - all blue and blue black. Not very steep.

    I'm calling you out - Summit Lift->moto track->T-line Lift->traverse->Little Jackson (Alpha Chutes on that map)->traverse->Fastquez trees->Pioneer Lift->Cat Track->Hi-Lo

    It's only about 5mins of good skiing but certainly no bumps.

    Actually Chair 4. God, I feel like an idiot. I'll just shut up now. Some JONGing by others would be appropriate in this circumstance. I wouldn't expect anything less.

    Foggy, I'm not speaking specifically of VJ laps but more generally a day spent at WP/MJ.

    Besides, if you end up in the exit creek, you're gonna be skiing woopties = bumps.

    You're preaching to the choir, WP/MJ used to be fun before the fuckwads started putting signs in the trees. Somebody almost died when I came across a ski school lesson "going highway" out gate 8. The 2 faced management of that place makes me sick. They now actively market terrain that caused me to get a full dress down from the mountain manager (Jack Mason RIP) and loose my pass for 2 weeks. The vibes in gone, end of story. Ask Cornholio's relatives. IntraWest in getting exactly what they want, another antiseptic Summit County like hill. Tearning down Sorenson Park and only of the only grass roots jumping/gelende program is the country is another smart move.

    tell us how you really feel...

    hadn't heard about the ski jumps getting tore down.

    Oh well, at least the apocolypse is upon us and only those humans closely aligned with cockroaches will survive. Parasitic leeches are likely to die right off.

    I dunno...Roundhouse trees, Brakeman trees, Toph's trees...there are a lot of lines in Parsenn trees that stay untracked. Last winter we were maybe 30-40 chairs from first after a little dusting...still had a beautiful untracked tree run. Always find fresh stuff on Iron Horse after 1pm on Saturday...spent five years there and was still finding new lines through the trees my last weekend there.

    W/respect to Intrawest, they're in a tough spot. If they build it out to Copper II and start taking away MJ parking, they'll lose local business. If they don't expand blue terrain and make a mini-village, they won't get the "destination" revenue associated with people from out of state who aren't day tripping and eating out of the car.

    I miss shooting out of the trees at Sunnyside covered in snow...people in the liftline looking at you like, WTF? Where did you come from? Pieces of tree hanging off my goggle straps...good times.

    All the above is true, but for vibe, WP/MJ is still 2nd only to Loveland for inbounds.
