    Quebec & Newfoundland Kayaking

Hey boaters, I am planninga creeking / riverrunning trip through Quebexico and Newfoundland and was wondering if anyone knew of any TRs or rivers that i definitely shouldn't pass up.

Planning to go in early may when all the snow is melting and pumping up the flows

Im thinking the Rouge, hogsback falls, seven sisters..water like that.
    Any ideas?

Canadian Canoe Routes is your friend.

All sorts of trips in there, from daytrip creeking to summer-long northern expeditions.

Some VT boaters have been doing some exploratory paddling and multidays up, way up in Qc. To bring attention to the daming of some sick big water river runs...

LVM has done some segments recently on Quebec. Both were float plane trips (Petit Maketna (sp?) and the Romaine) but both looked sick. Might be worth looking into.

You're in Vancouver, and going all the way across the country to kayak?

Anyone else fail to see the logic in this?

Just kidding. Hope you have a blast out there, and find what you're looking for!

Forgot to say in reply to your original post:

Hogsback only usually goes in late fall when they drain the lake (very occasionally it goes during winter and early spring during extreme rain/melt events).

Rouge will be a big volume river-run with massive surf and large-hole avoidance.

Seven Sisters section of the Rouge is only low enough in late summer/early fall.
