anyone else have riding buddies that scare them?

I was up at vedder mtn. yesterday with a good riding buddy and a couple other guys from seattle that we've been riding with at whistler this summer. both seattle guys have big bikes and big balls, but kinda are lacking on the technical skill and experience part of the riding. Both guys usually manage several burly crashes every whistler trip which i usually miss. Since we were checking out a lot of stunts and jumps and trying to ride some of them yesterday i really got to watch them ride, and after watching them both ride some stuff in a very sketchy manner and taking some big crashes, i was getting really spooked everytime they would line something up. The worst part is that both of them don't understand that you don't have to hit everything at full speed. Multiple times they would fly into a drop and land going so fast they would just disappear off into the bushes in a huge cloud of dust. It got to the point where i am scared to actually ride with them anymore because i don't want to be dealing with a rescue in the middle of the woods. Any tips on getting them calmed down in a nice way would be much appreciated, since they are super fun to hang out with and ride (when they aren't scaring me )

Oh yeah, other then that the ride really really kicked ass. Plus the last trail spits you out a 30 sec. ride from the swimming area at a kick ass lake. Nothing like taking a dip in perfect temperature water after getting really sweaty and dirty.

Get them injured close to home . Seriously, I had a friend just like you describe and he didn't slow down until he had busted his face (broken jaw, cheek, nose and eye socket along with 5 teeth missing and reconstructive surgery), wrecked his shoulder, and punched a hole in his leg. Now he rides the big stuff but he rides smarter now.

Also, get them on hardtails. That usually wakes people up fast.
Recently overheard: "Hey Ralph, what were you drinking that time that you set your face on fire?"
