I'm still waiting for '98-'99 to repeat so no season is ever good enough for me.

But to your point: this is bullshit. Hey, I haven't washed my car in years. Maybe that's it? Shit, that would suck if it was that all along.

A couple systems rolling in Sun and Mon should drop about 2cm on the top of anything over 4000'. We're talking 4cms of fresh fluff up top so Phat Tuesday is on

Out at baker for the week and watching the storms roll in back east is pretty painful.
Good times Sat and Sunday, yesterday was pretty variable and getting warmer.
Win some, lose some I guess.
    Trust me, I'm praying too.

What's really annoying, as scotsman has posted, is all the pretty people with unnaturally white teeth prancing about extolling the virtues of the sunny winter weather in the PNW.

This is unnatural and orthogonal to any semblance of proper flow and holistic brouhaha.

People who want nice winter weather in the PNW should move back to California.

Im just here to say Buster, nice use of brouhaha.

And yes, the PNW isnt looking so great, however its just February and Im not worried......yet.

Whats strange however is that unlike other winters where we'd get the usual snow and then have a pineapple express roll by and melt/pack everything down, we've had these streaks of nice cold, low humidity, high pressure systems(great for snowmaking) but no convergence with those streaks of moisture laden systems coming from the pacific. It blows, cause theres such good potential, but nothing is materializing.

Halfway through Feb now. Tired of "fast and fun!!!" groomers. Depressing forecast for next week, ....losing hope.
I'm about to sacrificially burn some old skis I've got in an attempt to appease the snow gods. I think that might work.

    Seriously.

My friend, who is the farthest thing from a skier you can get (hippster) and has no qualms about going to a movie on a beautiful sunny day (he's not outdoors-y is my point), said this winter is beginning to freak him out. He said "there hasn't been any rain, it just doesn't feel right." And this guy even commutes everywhere by bike or bus and he's missing the rain. Fucked.

I never really got past Grand Wazoo/Apostrophe era, just got really strange(not in a good way) for me. His early stuff is the shit IMO.

The weather has been ridiculous. I am still wearing shorts it has been so nice here. Checked the meadows snow forecast and it just looks awful. This sucks.

The park kids are freaking out a bit too.

Someone was telling me that the park at Snoqualmie is within inches of the dirt in spots and that there is so many rocks on the runs that it has become common courtesy to stop and throw them to the side, where there are now piles of them.

And Park Place(I think...whatever their bigger park is) at Meadows will not open this year cause there is not enough snow.

    Just.....ARGHH!!!
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

What? el duderino has tunneled through the router wall and has now shattered into Professor Chaos, or some submatzonic particle that closely resembled him?

Whoops, sorry, that's not what I meant. I meant I'm not freaking out, though mebbe I should be?
I really liked Grand Wazoo and Overnite. Some of the later stuff got a bit academic, but I have to agree that the series with Ian Underwood: Absolutely Free, WOIIFTM/Lumpy Gravy, Hot Rats, Chunga's Revenge, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, Burnt Weenie are awesome, my favorites too. That said, you absotroutly have to listen to Imaginary Diseases. Have to have to have to.

But I had a Pow Surprise @ Crustal last weekend. Powder. Faceshots. Empty chair 6 and South Back. It was wonderful. I was reminded of Beefheart:

Certain forecasters are predicting a cooler than average spring in the PNW....this is what I'm left holding on to. I think this is all due to the fact that I decided to buy some powder skis this year.

Suck ass for sure. I stopped looking at NOAA because I'm sick and tired of watching all the systems go to the south of us.

On a positive note, the snowpack is far more stable this year then it was last year. There is funk but pow as well.

I'm seriously considering doing the Chilly Hilly on Sunday. Yeah, that's right. Road cycling rather than skiing. It actually sounds fun: 4000+ spandex-clad dweebs descending on Bainbridge Island.

    WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?

Looks like we have a chance at some serious snow starting at the beginning of next week, keep your fingers crossed.
