    Thumbs up Aliens vs. Predator

Caught the midnight premiere last night.

Good flick, altogether. Very short, only an hour and a half, so very little to no character development (I don't think it's a surprise that people gonna die, but you'd be amazed how quickly they go through characters). The plot was ambitious, and had room for much more. Great balance between real actors in stunt sequences vs. CGI, the CGI shots looked good and the film avoided the fakeness of Blade II, Catwoman, and the Matrix Reloaded.

Not a lot was expected from this director, whose prior works included Event Horizon and Resident Evil, but I think he did a good job altogether. One thing though, this film will leave you wanting for more, but in a good way...

so, go check it out, if you liked any of the predator or alien movies you should like this for sure.

I actually liked it & had no expectations of "character development" or some such bullshit. I expected a lot of ass-kicking.

Fuckin' hilarious. I think those dudes have more time on their hands than we do.

    Nice find.

yeah, but didn't it strike you that the movie was at least a half an hour too short? When the credits started rolling, I was like, "Already? Damn! Only been here an hour and a half!"

like I said, room for much more.

then again, I like a plot in pornos instead of senseless killing, so...maybe I'm just gay like that.

Paul W.S. Anderson is a hack and I can't believe they allowed him to direct this flick. It's the Alien and Predator franchise and you give it to the guy whose last movie was Resident Evil? Think what Ridley Scott or James Cameron could have done with this sucker. I think that the PG-13 rating took a bit of the soul out of the movie.

With that said, I enjoyed the movie, although as Jetter states above, it was a bit too short.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.
